Upgrading to Thunderbird from Eudora v7.1.0.9
I have been using Eudora since the stone age days, at least Windows 2000. I want to upgrade to the latest version of Thunderbird. Before I install Thunderbird on my workstation, I have a few questions I would like to ask:
My work station runs Win 7 Pro x64bit & more than meets minimum system requirements I am running Eudora on my workstation successfully. I have Virtual Windows XP installed 1. What is the latest version of Windows that can import Eudora data files (if possible)? 2. Can I install Thunderbird successfully on the same workstation as Eudora? 3. Can you give me a tip on setting up Thunderbird so it does NOT delete any mail from my email server? 4. I have 6 email accounts. Eudora is ok with this. Can you give me a tip on setting up Eudora with multiple email accounts?
If the latest version of Thunderbird will not import Eudora data files, what is the latest version that will? I have the installation file for Eudora running under Win7 back to Thunderbird 7.0.1

Eudora import has not worked for years and has been now totally removed.
I would suggest version 17 which you can get from here http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/releases/17.0.9esr/win32/en-US/
Note you are importing, so when the import occurs your account settings and mail should be simply imported. Unless the Eudora store is a mess, which unfortunately is fairly common with Eudora.
