I have repetitively changed my search engine from yahoo to Bing, however every time I re-open Firefox, my search engine is reset to Yahoo. I am about to quit using firefox because I cannot get rid of Yahoo. I have heard many others have had this problem as well, so I suggest that you do something about it. If I cannot fix this, then im back to chrome.

Thanks

Try to delete the search.json file and possible search-metadata.json and search.sqlite files in the Firefox profile folder to reset the search engines to the default.

Firefox will rebuild the search.json file from the default search engines in the "browser\searchplugins" folder in the Firefox program folder and the searchplugins folder in the Firefox profile folder.

You can use this chrome URI in the location/address bar to open the previously used window to manage search engines and possibly bookmark this page.
