Despite claims of customization why does this software need software (addons) to have a legacy accepted interface?

more options

Plugins will get the job done, but why does it have to? They only serve to add overhead to keep the interface clean.

I understand people working on the UI have a thankless job that doesn't get noticed. Now they just have a thankless job as you are surely noticed by failing to follow rule #1 of design.

Keep It Simple Stupid.

Is this your New Coke moment? Windows 8? JC Penny? Ford Pinto? Let them eat cake?

On the bright side if you decide to step up and be the hero, you can fork the UI with "Classic" and "Convoluted"

Maybe you can use some heat 'metrics' to figure out which people want more. Clearly one has people heated already.

What's the issue you are having or did you come here to rant about how terrible Firefox 29 looks?

Pick one...any one at all.

How many times to people have to howl before you folks realize we DONT want the layouts we have set screwed with. Many of us DONT want tabs on top. We WANT the Firefox bar with the max/min and close window bar on top. Explain to me how now havingot move the mouse all the way to the bottom of the page to close a window is "more intuitive". ITS NOT!

This layout may be "more intuitive" for the developers. But it is NOT for me. We WANT our action buttons separate and where WE want them not where you feel like giving them to us. Many of us want MORE options as to how the appearance and layout is. Not less. And we WANT to be able to do it without having to resort to addons.

We WANT you to stop arrogantly assuming you know what we want better then we do.

If you had a painter come over to paint your house to upgrade the finish andyou told him 5 times you wanted it painted blue just as it is now. that you just wanted to upgrade it because it was old And he painted it red and told you that you would like that better. Would you appreciate it? Or would you be pissed? If we went out for dinner and I ordered for you and I changed your order to steak even though you might be a vegetarian and hated meat and then told you that you would like that better. Would you be thankful or pissed?

STOP ASSUMING YOU KNOW WHAT WE WANT. Particularly when it comes to page layout. If you have 14,000,000 users. You are just as likely to have 14,000,000 different ways they wan the page laid out. You want to provide us with more options to lay out things the way WE want them as individuals. Fine. THAT would be helpful. But STOP assuming you know what I want best.

I run a business. I dont have time for this crap to be trying to figure out how to rearrange things to be the way I want them. I want and need to be able to set up a layout and have it open the same exact way each time every time every version.

I have given up on version 29 and have downgraded to 27.0.1 and turned off updates. When you people pull your heads out of your collective ... and decide to give us what WE want. Let me know and I'll upgrade. Till then I'll take my chances. I've spent entirely too much time trying ot get things the way I had and wanted them. According to my estimations Mozilla now owes me $750 in lost time due to this.

I have to apologize for lack of grammatical flow and errors in my initial post, but truly I feel betrayed and was upset to the broken functionality and appearance of a tool I have used for so long.

If it were limited to only a change in looks, but applying a new theme or skin isn't exactly what happened here. Far more than a new look or paint job.

My turn blinker is in the trunk, the gas pedal is on the roof and the steering wheel is under my seat. The instrument panel is completely gone and I still haven't found the brakes.

I can go to the aftermarket to put things right, but why should I have to?
