Why has Firefox randomly decided to not load any website?

The day before my problem was spawned, everything worked perfectly fine. Today, as I turned on my computer and loaded up Firefox I was greeted with "Unable to connect, Firefox cannot establish a connection to www.whatever.com". No website at all, no matter a secured website (https), and normal webpage, or even Mozilla.org itself would load. Yet, any other browser can. I have ravaged the support page seeking a solution and I truly have tried everything suggested (clearing all cookies, history, etc., removing and re-adding Firefox to the trusted programs list in Windows Firewall, uninstalling, deleting the Firefox folder in Program Files, then reinstalling). Norton has been disabled even when Firefox was working, so it couldn't possibly be interfering. No updates to the browser, my computer or anything else has occurred recently, nor have I downloaded any malicious files.

I couldn't possibly express how frustrating this is, and any help would be dearly appreciated.

Chosen solution

I figured everything out. Turns out Norton really was blocking all web-based programs on my computer as it was disabled. I knew Firefox wouldn't let me down! I shall continue using the best browser in the world!
