what is the useragent that is showing up on his computer when he visits http://browserspy.dk/useragent.php?

all current firefox releases are supported by google: https://support.google.com/plus/answer/1347815
so, if this message is showing up on a browser with a plain firefox 23 useragent it would be better to contact google's support and ask them to fix the flaw in their browser sniffing...

Hi philipp

thanks again for reply.I have added his user agent generated by http://browserspy.dk/useragent.php? ...Please check it.He is on windows xp.And moreover today after lunch in around afternoon this problem started.

okay, so as you've already suspected earlier there is nothing wrong with the useragent - it is just the normal one for firefox 23 on windows xp. so based on this information i'd suggest contacting google and asking them why they are displaying the notification in this situation, since their support documents state the current browser versions are fully supported.

another thing to try would be to clear the cache & cookies from google.com and reload the page.

Hi philipp

yeah i told you that.Actually i am the IT Admin for this company. So i already checked it from my end thoroughly and completely.I tried clearing cache and cookies already even reseting firefox from help > troubleshooting and than created this thread because i didnt find any way to solve.

I was in a doubt that this problem maybe from firefox or google. But as told by you and i hvae already performed every troubleshooting related to firefox....now i am thinking it as a google problem.

Anyway thanks a lot for fast responses. Thanks Will come here in future if there are no solution to problems

If anyone has another solution please reply here

Simple solution would be to download some addon like User Agent Overrider to change your browser user agent to Chrome 27 or IE10

Same problem here. About 10:30 CET +1 today (2013/08/10) it stopped working ( i mean it's when i tried to login). Before i logged in to G+ at arround 7:00 and it was still working OK.

Tried the user agent trick and it doesn't work. Neither does clearing history and cookies.

WinXP home, FF 23

Haven't tried it from the linux maschine yet.

Same problem here. Windows 7, Firefox 22, then upgraded to Firefox 23. Google Plus was working fine with FF this morning on FF 22, then attempted to log into another Google account and got the message "your browser is no longer supported". Tried going back to previous google account, but same result. Upgraded to FF 23, same result. Cleared cookies, cache, restarted FF, same result. I have multiple Google accounts so typically use different browsers to have multiple accounts open at once, so reverting to Chrome doesn't help me, since I'm already using it for a different account. Any help would be appreciated.

I had Firefox 23 and I received this message for the first time today. It was working last night and I have not made any changes in the mean-time. After getting the error, I upgraded to Firefox 24. It did not solve the problem. I cleared the cache/cookies, etc. before and after the upgrade, but Google Plus still tells me that my Browser is not supported. Gmail works just fine.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:24.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/24.0 Mozilla/Netscape 6.x Microsoft Windows XP

It's not just Firefox. Internet Explorer 8 gets Google plus as a jumbled mess. Only one of my browsers can get to Google Plus. Care to guess which one?

Chrome. If they were hoping to get me to switch, they badly miscalculated. All it does is further reduce my interest in the vaunted Google Plus.

If this was a sneaky promotional trick, I think it will badly backfire.

This can be caused by corrupted cookies or cookies that are blocked (check the permissions on the about:permissions page).

Clear the cache and the cookies from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

it's a general error with google at the moment, which they will have to fix on the server side: http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!category-topic/google-plus-discuss/fix/QvaQaWgYuQE[1-25-true]

I can login from my Android tablet, I cannot login from any of my windows PCs. I have a mix of windows PCs too. XP pro32 bit, windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. Only my tablet lets me login to Google Plus. I've tried all the solutions from the web. My about:config useragent shows the reset on right click but it's greyed out.
