Hi, I'm using FF 21.0 and Win XP, sp3. I can't seem to navigate to FTP web pages. Unfortunately since I almost never use FTP, I don't know if it's the pages, or some setting on my computer. I can't find where a setting in the browser might change my access to FTP sites. Do I need to enable a setting on my computer somewhere? I can't navigate to either of two sites from FF or IE. The two sites I was trying to navigate to without success are:

=> ftp://umaxcare.com

            (safe hardware support site for my scanner to get an upgrade plug-in).

=> ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/services/whql/hcl/win2000hcl.txt

            (microsoft HCL text file)

I get the standard respective "unsuccessful" page load error messages in both FF & IE.

Can someone please help me by suggesting if I have to change a setting and/or verifying if these pages still exist?

Thank you!

Chosen solution

I just tested the pages, and got the same problem. So it is not Firefox, but the pages itself.

<strike>The umaxcare.com site no longer seems to exist</strike>

This site works:

You need to use the correct case for the Win2000HCL.txt file:
