What else can be done to prevent youtube videos from crashing when I use firefox? I have tried updating adobe flash player and also downgraded per the solutions

I am using firefox 20.0.1 on my windows xp pro machine. I have the latest flash player and have also downgraded the flash player per the troubleshooting ideas that I have seen in my search to solve this issue. Videos that I watch on youtube with internet explore do not crash, but I don't like internet explorer and use firefox for all my web searching. This crash issue is extremely annoying and I cannot fix it.

You can check for problems with current Flash plugin versions and try these:

  • disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
  • disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin
