Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

To see all History and Cookie settings, choose:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
  • Deselect: [ ] "Always use private browsing mode"

You can the Boolean pref signon.autofillForms to true on the about:config page.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

Thanks! I've not in private mode and signon.autofillForms is set to true. i added "autofill 3.5" but that doesn't seem to work yet. is there a particular add-on or extension i need?

I've also deleted the cookies from the website and started Firefox in SafeMode but still can't get the UN & PW to autofill although it's saved in Firefox options. Is there anything else to try?

I've also tried deleting the UN & PW and then re-saving them. Still doesn't work. Other than Chrome or IE, any suggestions?

Firefox won't autofill the name and password if the website uses autocomplete=off even if you have saved the name and password with the bookmarklet or in a possible past when the autocomplete=off wasn't present.

Can you post a link to that log in page?
