I keep trying to manage my bookmarks. I create a couple of folders, or move a couple of bookmarks into folders, and it works fine. Then somewhere around the third or fourth attempt to move something, it doesn't work anymore. It completely stops responding to anything I do. It doesn't crash. It just doesn't let me click on anything or drag anything anywhere. I just updated to Firefox 12, but I don't know if that is the problem.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

You can also try to repair the places database with this extension:
