Every time I start Firefox 8 on my desktop PC my pinned App Tabs for my two email accounts and my calender are missing, even though I re-pin them again every time. This doesn't happen on my fiance's laptop which we share, or my old XP SP3 laptop (all now running Firefox 8). Both my Desktop, and my fiance's laptop are running Windows 7, fully updated. I still use Xmarks to sync my bookmarks, but have the Sync Tabs option deselected. This not limited to PC restarts or shut downs. It also happens when I shut FF8 down, and restart FF8 shortly after.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

To see all History and Cookie settings, choose:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
  • Deselect: [ ] "Always use private browsing mode"

Make sure that you do not use "Clear Recent History" to clear the "Browsing History" when Firefox is closed because that prevails and prevents Firefox from opening tabs from the previous session.

Hi,

Thanks cor-el for the reply. I double checked those settings; Private Browsing, and Clear Recent History, and neither is selected.

Anything else I should check?
