Firefox 3.x created a Cache of files. Firefox 4 places them in folders. I want access to the Cache files as just files not in clickable folders. How can I get a Cache that just has the files like they were in all other Firefox before?

Thanks, I have gone back to 3.6.17 Will Firefox 4.x ever be able to display Cache in Finder like before or will Apple have to do something?

A possible workaround is to do a search for all files (*) and paste the results to a panel in the file manager

Thanks. I will try that when I have to go back.

hello, i have discovered the new cache managing method in firefox4 and i feel disappointed: i do prefer the hold manner. even if it is for safety reasons this has been implemented, why don't let users choose wich method could be used by firefox, like a trigger in options, let's say the standart for the new one like in firefox4, and the old one like in firefox3 with a single and unique directory. alternative could be desinstall firefox4 and use firefox3 or another browser: a pity for firefox4.

All we need is about 1 million more complaints or someone to create a little program to automate the process of separating the files from those folders. I sure don't want to leave Firefox.

Try:

That version is not compatible with Firefox 4.0.1 ,so you need to bypass the compatibility check:
