it is not problem but how do I get the bar on top which contains tools, favorites etc I know I how to press a certain key but which one

If you press either Alt or F10, the menu bar is temporarily displayed. Then in the View menu, select Toolbars and then click on "Menu Bar" to make it permanently display the menu bar.
