Issue

I have another kind of problem with Firefox

Description

Did a fresh install of the OS and Firefox 3.6.6. After FF install and reboot FF wouldn't open as Win7 error box comes up saying "FireFox has stopped working". Once I changed compatibility to WinVistaSP2 - FF would open but only by clicking yes on the User Account Control dialog box.

Tried all the solutions in this forum "Run as Admin" - NOT "Run as Admin" - run program directly from x86 folder and nothing gets rid of UAC confirmation.

So I disabled UAC and rebooted and FF starts without UAC but hangs with the same Windows error " FireFox has stopped working".

What do I do now?

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

Fresh install of Win7-64bit Home Premium with fresh install of Firefox 3.6.6
