When i use my gmail and hotmail accounts using firefox, the back button doesn't take me back to the previous page. Multiple clicks don't work either, if it does I am sent back to the log on page. I don't experience these issues when I use IE. I've also had this problems with other sites intermittently but not to the same extent.

Same issue. Newest firefox, windows 2008 server.

Doesn't occur on IE.

Yes, it's quite annoying and it doesn't happen with IE. I have several Gmail accounts that I check at the same time and the back button does nothing - I can click it all day long and it goes nowhere. Hence, I'm switching back to IE - a browser that can at least function in the most rudimentary sense, i.e., go back to the previous page.

Do you, by chance, use NoScript, or a javascript blocker? If so, hotmail now uses cross-site scripting from wlxrs.com for all javascript requests and this must be allowed, or the live.com pages won't work correctly. I have no idea why they have this unsafe, and un-user friendly policy of using this.
