Where did the IMAP folder subscription settings go? I am not seeing all of the folders on my server by default. Historically I could go scan for those and choose whether they appeared or not. That option has disappeared. Are they now supposed to all show up at all times? I find specifically that the special folders on Exchange servers can't be selected in Thunderbird. It insists on 'Sent' and 'Trash' which don't exist in Exchange. Unfortunately I can't really determine whether that is because Exchange is not offering those folders or they are just not subscribed.

Hello kevin209

take a look at your server settings for the Imap account, Advanced button, checkbox 'Show only subscribed folders'. Could it be the setting you need to uncheck ?

With more information, someone may be able to assist. Are you accessing an Exchange account through their IMAP configuration, or are you using an Exchange addon, such as Exquilla or Owl? Generally, doing a rightclick on account name should show the subscribe information.

You may not have noticed the subject and first line of my post where I specifically mention IMAP.

Thank you! I haven't had to do this in years and didn't notice the Advanced button, which wasn't there all those years ago. Once I unchecked that box the 'Subscribe' choice on the mailbox right-click menu gave me ALL of the folders to subscribe and unsubscribe, and the sent setting automatically changed from 'Sent' to 'Sent Items'. I had to manually change deletions from 'Trash' to 'Deleted Items', but that's okay.
