does the status "enabled" mean they are active and running?
Firefox comes with a lot of search engines for various locales built-in that can't be removed.
- resource://search-extensions/
any reason why google, bing and amazon cant be removed, is it the money again? if i need a search engine i can simply add it no need to force it on me.
also, what this resource://search-extensions/ can i open this directory localy on the desktop or just in the browser?
safebrowsing2.brave.com VS safebrowsing.brave.com ? does the 2 make any difference?
anyone?

These are compressed into a program file and it's not recommended to edit the file. Also, the file is updated frequently, so you would need to re-do the edits.
The built-in search engine extensions are just lists of URLs and parameters to use for searching. There's no other code running. If you want to take a look:
- Amazon: https://searchfox.org/mozilla-release/source/browser/components/search/extensions/amazon (manifest.json contains the URLs; _locales contain the text labels in various languages)
- Bing: https://searchfox.org/mozilla-release/source/browser/components/search/extensions/bing/ (manifest.json contains the URLs)
- Google: https://searchfox.org/mozilla-release/source/browser/components/search/extensions/google/ (manifest.json contains the URLs; _locales contain the text labels in various languages)

I haven't used that site. Do you notice any difference? How did you end up visiting it on two different addresses?
See this thread:
Ah thanks jscher2000, if there is no code active no reason to remove them. And.. @cor-el, wow i felt somewhat stupid right now.
I edited google safe browsing and replaced it with brave safe browsing, thanks to help from andmagdo.
But some settings remain with google, i wish to replace them aswell with brave but cant find any information on that. Where would i possibly find a solution?
