Tens of unnecessary browsing history tabs appear in opening a new window

more options

I have a serious trouble in opening a new window. Tens of old browsing history tabs automatically appear and the new window freezes until I delete all these tabs manually....This is really crazy and I lost completely the confidence in Firefox. How can I fix this? (It seems this started to happen right after I synchronized a new Windows laptop. I wonder if this has something to do with the trouble.)

Hi Naoko, is this on your Mac?

When you create a new window, Firefox should show your home page(s). It certainly is possible to assign multiple URLs to your home page(s), but that seems a little extreme. In case a huge list got dumped in there by accident, could you check your Home Page setting on the Preferences page, Home panel.

See: How to set the home page

You can clear out the Custom URLs field or just switch it to a blank page for testing.
