if i update to the 68 version I lose all my addons and i want them

like  my  emotes or emojis

i have updtes ticked and it says to automatically update

Unfortunately, articles like https://www.askvg.com/download-mozilla-thunderbird-latest-version/ DON'T say why users are not being automatically updated to 68.

It's because we don't want lots of users (eg. all users) updating to 68, partly because we know not many add-ons are ready for the new Thunderbird.

If you have to ask should I update, then the answer is no. Wait until the automatic update happens.

If (when) you update to 68, there is an emoji add-on compatible with that version:
