How do I import Outlook email from an external hard drive over to Thunderbird?

My old laptop died, so all its content was transferred to an external drive. I need to import the emails from that external drive into Thunderbird on the laptop I'm using now. Those emails are in Outlook format. How do I go about importing those emails?

BTW, the old laptop and the current laptop both use(d) Windows 10. I'm sharing this "new-to-me" laptop with my husband, and he already uses Outlook. I don't want to mix up my emails with his, so I'm using Thunderbird.

Usually, the import from Outlook to TB works if TB and Outlook are installed on the same computer. You could probably import the Outlook data to Outlook on the new laptop without affecting the current Outlook data, but I think it might be easier to import the data to MailStore Home, and then transfer it to TB:
