The answer from a year ago to this exact question does NOT work now. I need the 32 bit for Windows 7 64 in order to use some plugins.

The step below: " We've made some educated guesses about your current browser and operating system." is a similar problem.

The current Release version is Firefox 64.0 released on December 11 https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/64.0/releasenotes/ and you can see the list of Firefox Releases at https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/releases/

Note whether you use 64-bit or 32-bit Firefox on Windows, Mac OSX, or Linux the only NPAPI Plugin that will run is Flash Player from Adobe since the Fx 52.0 release. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/npapi-plugins

You can't judge by the file name. The 32-bit and 64-bit installers have the same name. You can compare here (these are the U.S. English installers):

32-bit: https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/64.0/win32/en-US/

64-bit: https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/64.0/win64/en-US/

Judging from the file sizes, the "all" page was serving you the 32-bit installer.

Thanks. This is the missing piece I needed to know. "The 32-bit and 64-bit installers have the same name [*64*]."

as in 64.0 (or sixty-four point zero) since that is the current Release version. There could be a 64.0.1 update if warranted for security and or stability fixes.

The next major Firefox Release will be Firefox 65.0 and the file name for Windows will then be Firefox setup 65.0 .exe when you download the 32-bit or 64-bit for Windows..
