Since yesterday (24-10-2018) only the oldest email on the ISP server is downloaded, again and again. Newer emails are recognised by TB (under left corner message says '1 of 18') but not shown. Checked with ISP: no issues. Another user on this same computer with email account with same ISP has no problems. What could be the issue and how to solve it? Restarted TB several times, restarted computer several times. TB Version 52.9.1 (32bits) on W10 home 1803.

Kind regards Frans van Es

Sounds like an email is causing a log jam. Are you using a POP mail account ? If yes: Logon to webmail account via a browser and empty the 'spam' folder. In Thunderbird, click on 'Get Messages' for the mail account.

If still no downloads: In webmail account, look for the oldest email that does not get downloaded. Read and delete if not really required or forward to an email address and then delete.

In Thunderbird, click on 'Get Messages' for the mail account.

Did this clear things and get emails downloaded ?
