Hi everyone,

I'm using Windows 8 on my notebook. The mozilla firefox software just got updated automatically to Firefox Quantum 57.0(64-bit). There is a window popped up when I was trying to start the program. It shows:

firefox.exe - Application Error

The exception Breakpoint A breakpoint has been reached. (0x80000003) occurred in the application at location 0x6ccb4b9e.

Click on OK to terminate the program

After that, I tried to uninstall and install the program but nothing has changed. Any help to get it fixed? Thanks a million

Chosen solution

Update your Video Card Drivers. The error you mention is usually associated to old and or corrupted drivers. Firefox 57 depends on you for those drivers.

Send info to Mozilla was turned off or would have helped you with that.

This the best way to uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0 with a Full Version Installer https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
