after initial folder selection cannot select another folder in folders pane
running windows 7 and system just did a microsoft update. Everything was find before that. Now when i open Thunderbird, it opens to the advanced search pane on the right instead of my inbox message list like before. I can then select a folder in the left pane, but whichever one I select I am stuck with. I cannot select another folder without closing Thunderbird, re-opening and selecting another G-mail folder or local folder. In the folder I do get open, I cannot sort messages or open new messages.

I can get to the inbox by clicking on it, but after I am in the inbox I can't go to any other folder. Clicking on another folder in the left pane will highlight that folder but the contents of the folder I select in the left pane do not appear as the list in the right pane. The program stays focused on the contents of the inbox.
