hi guys! big problem... as titles says: I added two accounts (one office365 for work and one riseup.net for my personal) in thunderbird and can receive mails with no problem, but with both accounts I can NOT send emails. I get the error:

".......the connection to the SMTP server mail.riseup.net is expired, try again" ".......the connection to the SMTP server smtp.office365.com is expired, try again"

I'm on latest version of thunderbird. I double checked all my server settings multiple times, no luck. I have also outlook 2016 installed in my pc, and with that both receiving and sending for both accounts work fine.

and with same server settings, I can receive and send emails in k9 mail app in my android phone with both accounts.

I tried disabling the win7 firewall service and norton antivirus, same problem.

could you kindly help?

TIA!

Does your ISP allow you to send mail on a server other than theirs? I hear of US based ISP that have this restriction.
