Thunderbird with the last update cancelled the possibility to use Hightail as Filelink manager. Using Box is mandatory, but www.box.com is not reachable so it is impossible to open an account or use an existing one. now what?

I don't know about box.com. You can use Dropbox in connection with this add-on. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/dropbox-for-filelink

It works for me.

Thank you, but unfortunatelly it doesn't solve my problem. I do not want to use dropbox. Hightail was much more useful for me. if thunderbird choose not to use hightail anymore and oblige to use box.com the minimum should have been that box.com is an accessible site. am i wrong?

I just sent an email from Thunderbird using Hightail. So it works for me. Would you like me to forward it to you?

thank you Matt, probably you are using a different version of Thurderbird. Maybe not the last one for OS or maybe a version for PC.

Last version for OS doesn't use Hightail anymore as you can read here:

<https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/filelink-large-attachments>

The instructions below show how to configure and use Filelink with the Box online storage provider. We have an agreement with them to integrate their services into Thunderbird as well. (We used to have an agreement with Hightail, formerly YouSendIt). "
