How to make firefox history (CTRL+H) display as a window with columns for date/time/full url?

I use multiple browsers. But since Seamonkey seems to have been abandoned without any security updates or fixes for almost a year now I need to switch to Firefox. I find that the history (CTRL+H) side bar is pretty useless to me compared to Seamonkey's history window.

How can I get a Seamonkey like history window with columns for URL/Date/Time visited/etc in a windows instead of the next to useless left hand one column side bar?

I know you can open the bookmark manager and there is some history there, but that is not very convenient and is way cumbersome and not very logically arranged. Plus I can't make it do what I want like I can in Seamonkey's history manager. Is there an add-on or an about:config change I can make to get what I need from the history?

Ctrl+H opens the history in the sidebar. You need the History Manager (Library: Show All History) to get the window with the columns. You can use the Ctrl+Shift+H shortcut to open the Library.

The view using CTRL+SHIFT+H does not have an option to show all history. It is segmented into Today/Yesterday/Last 7 Days....I want to see all in one view. There is no column for date/time visited I also don't need that left column with that directory structure. It uses up too much screen space. Plus it's an extra key to press. There must be an add-on to fix this stuff???

You can type a colon (:) in the search bar in the Library to see all history items.

<Face palm>How is a search for (;) intuitive? Where is that documented? How would I ever have found that on my own? I another obscure work around :-( I thought the whole point of a GUI is that it was suppose to be simple and obvious. But, ok.

Now how about the missing columns I can't add? The date/time visited. I tried enabling "added" from the view menu, but that column is blank.

This is all very non-optimal. This needs to be fixed by the developers for sure!

You only see in the Library the folder that is currently selected in the left pane. If you want to see items from more folders at the same time then you can achieve this via a search. A simple character like a colon that is part of every link serves this purpose best. You can also do this for getting an item count. Added and Last Modified only works for bookmarks and not for the history.

Unfortunately you can only view the last visited date (Most Recent Visit) and not other times you have visited the same website (i.e. visit count > 0). To see older visits you would have to use the SQLite Manager extension and do a specific SQLite query in the places.sqlite database.
