How do I "adapt uk41lql0.default to your own installation"? Do I copy its files into the Mail file so that the address is the same as on my computer?
I am attempting to migrate my mail from Evolution to Thunderbird following your instructions. I need a more specific how to. Do I change htcq....default to mail and copy its files there then add Evolutions mail files? Evolution = .local/share/evolution/mail/local, Thunderbird=.thunderbird/htcqxbpd.default/mail/local folders, ie change htc... to mail and copy its folders into mail.
I have not done this is at least 10 years so am very rusty.
Thank you for any assistanc you can give me.
Clint I am running Linux Mint 17.1

What the instructions are saying is that you should copy all the Evolution folders under .local/share/evolution/mail/local to the directory .thunderbird/htcqxbpd.default/mail/local folders
The 'adapt ...' terminology is just saying that the user will have his/her own profile name with eight random characters followed by ".profile". the "uk41lql0.default" is only an example; "htcqxbpd.default" seems to be yours.

I am able to copy the folders over, but thunderbird does not read them. I have decided to keep it simple and simply put new mail folders in Thunderbird as needed and keep the evolution handy in case I need to refer back to something.
thank you
