I keep getting a scrip error. How do I fix it?
I use Windows 7 Operating System. Every time I try to open a new window in Foxfire, the scree fades, I get a green rotating circle and it takes at least 30 seconds for the screen to appear. I have been getting a script error message before this started happening. How do I fix it?

Is the error that a script is running slowly and saying you can Stop or Continue? Does your home page use Flash?
There is a known problem with Windows 7 and the protected mode of the Flash player plugin that can cause this problem. The protected mode feature has security benefits, but is not compatible with all systems for some reason.
You can disable the feature by creating or editing a settings file. The following pages/posts provide different approaches:
- Adobe support article under the heading "Last Resort": Adobe Forums: How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?
- Batch file to automate the manual steps: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/982093#answer-518078
Flash needs to completely unload from memory (exiting and starting Firefox up again might help) before this takes effect.
Any difference?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.
See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
