When I went to open Firefox on may laptop I got a box that said - Firefox will start in a minute after it finishes updating (not verbatim). After it opened I can't access the Internet through it or use any of my quick links. It just keeps refreshing to the Firefox homepage.

I tried the steps listed there and added Firefox as an exception to my firewall but still nothing. For the android ? - I probably miss hit the right spot on my phone when selecting since that's the only working Internet source I have right now. I've never had issues before so its weird. My computer says its connected to the Internet & I have working wifi on my phone.

Okay, lets start over. What is the system you are running? Win, Mac, Linux . . . . . . Version What Firefox? Are other programs accessing the web?

Some problems occurs when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;

  • Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
  • Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see
