I have read with others that have this problem and they seem to have solved it by:

In the main menu bar of the compose window: View - Toolbars Check 'Composition Toolbar'.

But when I check view toolbard, I do not see a composition toolbar, or have a chanch to check it

Chosen solution

Lets try again.

Open a Write Window

Do you have a Write window open? If not open one.

Press the Alt key to make the menu bar appear if it is not already showing.

From the Menu Bar select View-Toolbars and click on the missing toolbars to turn them on.

You need to be in a Write window when doing all of this.

Every window has it's own set of toolbars. You need to be in the problem window when trying to work on it's toolbars.

If you do not see Composition Toolbar in the menu choices then you are not in a Write window. Open a Write window and try again.

I meant when I was on the home page. But when I open a write window I do see the composition toolbar, but no toolbars or menus.

First I did not even see the composition toolbar in write or reply. I did something (what I don't know) that changed that.

When I am in the home page and press view I see 4 toolbars but composition is not listed there.

I cannot see anything in a write or reply window because there are no other menus.

Really wierd, now I don't have to use the ALT key, the menu bar is just there all the time.

Thanks a lot for your help Airmail!
