Firefox 32.0.02 on my desktop says: Norton Toolbar not compatible. Firefox 32.0.02 on my new notebook installs the Norton Toolbar.

Where's the logic?

You're right, if all the versions are the same, Firefox should give the same result.

Could you compare the version numbers on the respective Add-ons pages. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions.

On the right side, all the enabled extensions are listed first, in alphabetical order, followed by the disabled extensions.

Which version(s) do you have?

hello, according to norton the toolbar is already compatible with firefox versions including the current release version. please run the norton liveupdate utility repeatedly & until all components are up-to-date. in addition make sure that the toolbar is enabled under firefox > addons > extension afterwards.

Toolbar on desktop: 2014.7.6.15 and automatically disabled by Firefox and I can't enable nor remove it. Toolbar on notebook: 2014.7.7.13 But where do I find the latest version on my desktop? I've noticed also that the toolbar isn't compatible with I.E.64bits and my desktop is 64bits but my notebook 32bits. Maybe that's causing the problem.

You may need to run the Norton Live update several times to take affect.

Unlike with most Extensions, the Extensions that tie in with a separate application like this (say antivirus) needs to be updated to work with the new major Firefox version Firefox.exe.
