I was wrong with previous question-ALL of my email addresses are getting error mesages when downloading emails thus causing the downloads to stop.

ALL emails are stopping because of error messages. It literally takes an hour or longer to get all of my emails due to the extensive interruptions by error messages. What could be causing this? I have uninstalled and re-installed Thunderbird a dozen times. Here are some of the error messages: The RETR command did not succeed. Error retrieving a message.
