Avast Easy Pass is listed as an add on and used to appear in the Firefox toolbar but no long shows since the Firefox update recently. I have reinstalled Avast Easy Pass but no result in Firefox.

Move your mouse to the top of the Firefox window, then right click. You will see a menu of the available toolbars. Select Customize. In the new window, look for the icon. When you find it, hold down the left button on it, and move it to where you want it to be. You can move any of the icons you want from here, but some icons are locked in place.

Thanks Fred, but the Avast icon doesn't appear as a toolbar option. It does appear under the Add Ons icon, but left clicking and dragging doesn't work. I've also installed the Add Ons restorer app, but it has made no difference either.

Did you Hold Down the left button?

Yes, held down the left button and dragged--the icon did not move and there was no sign that left clicking and holding had picked it up--I can usually see the icon move as I drag it.

Are you able to move the other icons?

There is a reset button in the customize window. That might free it.

Thanks again Fred. No success. I restored the default settings but still can't drag any of the icons. I was able to put the Add Ons group icon onto the toolbar by right clicking and selecting the "Move to toolbar" option, but that still doesn't give me the Easy Pass access I had previously.

Is there a reason you use Avast Easy Pass? It might be helpful to note that Avast Easy Pass isn't necessary to get virus protection. Avast is working in the background to protect your whole system. Extensions added by Avast or other AV software companies such as McAfee or AVG have issues.

Have you tried to check if Avast EP is on the Add-on Bar? I noticed that you had it installed so maybe you can drag it out into the Add-on Bar into the bottom.

If you have any other issues with Avast, please take them up with Avast themselves. This is a Mozilla support forum, not Avast.

Thanks Moses. Avast Easy Pass is for password storage, not virus protection. That's the reason I use it. Previous to the Firefox update recently, Easy Pass was on the top toolbar, which meant that I could use it to log into to the various sites using my passwords stored on Easy Pass. I've contact Avast and am waiting to hear back. Can you tell me more about the Add On bar please? I can't find it on Firefox.

The real name is Tool Bar. The address bar is a tool bar. Using the customize, you can move icons around to where they best serve you. What we call the add-ons bar was located on the bottom of the Firefox window. But for reasons no one understands, it was removed. If you go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here), you can search for an add-on bar.

Thanks Fred. I have downloaded an add-on bar and I'm able to drag the Add-Ons icon (looks like a piece of a jig saw puzzle) onto it. It contains Avast Easy Pass and some other extensions, but I still can't get Easy Pass to open in Firefox so I can use its password storage to log in to various sites that I have set passwords for. I've also updated Shockwave Flash as you suggested. I suspect the answer lies with Easy Pass and I'm waiting to hear back from them.
