I want to print just the body of the message and not the Subject, To, From and Date. How do I do this?

For instance, many airlines now send etickets as the message rather than as a pdf attachment. Their etickets, etc., are usually designed to be A4 size. So to print them on a single page, these headers must be omitted.

If you try selecting the required text before printing, does that help? I believe that Thunderbird, by default, will print only the selected text when there is an active selection.

If that doesn't work out, this add-on:

…has a setting to "Print just selection, when it exists" which should offer that functionality.
