Have you download 'MailMerge' add-on ?
Yes I have..
I've seriously tried it 20 odd times but no contacts get picked up from the csv file?
can you confirm a few things?
You downloaded 'Mail Merge' and it is displayed in the Thunderbird 'Addon Manager' and it is enabled.
Open the .csv file and checked that the info you are entering in the Write message eg: {{Email}} , {{First Name}} etc is the same as the column headers.
example: {{FirstName}} OR {{First Name}}
{{Email}} OR {{Primary Email}}
you can edit the .csv file to change eg: {{Primary Email}} to {{Email}}
you can also move the column headers, so that the first three columns show : First Name, Last Name, Email
can you confirm a few things?
You downloaded 'Mail Merge' and it is displayed in the Thunderbird 'Addon Manager' and it is enabled. YES DOWNLOADED - CAN I SEND YOU A SCREEN CAP OF THE PAGE?
Open the .csv file and checked that the info you are entering in the Write message eg: {{Email}} , {{First Name}} etc is the same as the column headers.
example: {{FirstName}} OR {{First Name}}
{{Email}} OR {{Primary Email}} YES CORRECT - SEVERAL TIMES
you can edit the .csv file to change eg: {{Primary Email}} to {{Email}}
you can also move the column headers, so that the first three columns show : First Name, Last Name, Email (NOT SURE IF I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND THIS POINT)
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP SO FAR - IS THERE SOMEONE I CAN CALL TO GET THIS RESOLVED TODAY? THANK YOU

re: the Thunderbird 'Addon Manager' and it is enabled.
This is shown under 'Extension'. Your image showed the 'Addons. see first image.
re: In Csv file, you can move a column header.
right click on 'Primary Email' column header to select the header and all column data, then select 'copy'.
- see top of second image
Right click on the third column and select 'Insert Copied cells'
- see middle of second image
double click on the new 'Primary Email column header and edit so it says 'Email' . Then save document.
- see bottom of second image.
Write new message and enter the {{First Name}} {{Last Name}} {{Email}} information spelt exactly the same as the column headers - note in my case there is a space in between 'First' and 'Name'.
see image
click on File > Mail Merge
- change mail source to CSV
- deliver mode set to Send later
- click on Browse and select the saved .csv file
- click on ok
see image
OMG - I'm dying here
Please see my screen shots attached
All the images so far look correct, although there is nothing entered in the Subject', but I tested with and without and it was ok.
Can you post an image of your .csv file.
I only need to see the top part that shows the header column names, not any actual data.
Also can you check that every First Name, Last Name and Email has a correct entry.
I've attached the .csv file it's saved as .csv but says excel in the top left corner?
the first attachment is actually how it looks when the file is opened and the second is what is looks like when I extend the fields - don't know if this is affecting anything?
Thanks for all your help so far btw!

why me?!!
Hi there Just checking you got my screen shots of errors
thanks so much
All the images look correct.
Check the .csv filename.
- Change filename to eg: testtwo.csv (no spaces)
Check the .csv option
- use the option to Save As CSV (Windows)
No Luck! see images What else should I do Toad Hall?
Thanks
I presume you mean you have also checked option to Save As CSV (Windows).
In the file there is an empty line at the top under the column headers. On my machine this has no issue, but perhaps it doesn't like the empty first line, so remove it, so the first line under the header columns contains the data.
Just in case it does not like the space in the column headers.
eg: change 'First Name' to 'FirstName'
then make changes to the Write new message {{FirstName}}.
