Hello,

Firefox will not remember youtube, google and all of its searches in my history. It will remember all other websites though, including other search engines like Bing.

It however will remember google, youtube and its searches on a newly created Firefox profile.

I tried disabling all the add-ons, but it didn't make a difference. I tried copying the files of the profile I'm currently using to the newly created profile, which didn't work either. Search and form history is on.

I try to avoid making a whole new profile and installing the add-ons again, since I have a lot of them. If there's another way which won't take a couple of hours of my own time, that would be great.

Google and its searches are not showing up in the history of my Firefox user profile. I don't mean the search history in google itself.

Hi Stefox, This should be a pretty quick way to test if its working:

  1. Please open History > Show all history
  2. Open up a search engine page
  3. Search for something and hit enter
  4. Look at the most recent Name entry on the Library page (Do you see the page there? )

The search will have the title of what you searched. I hope this helps.

You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.

Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.

You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.

It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.
