Firefox stopped marking links as visited.
Hello
A few days ago, I have noticed that FF stopped marking links I've visited as "visited". Initially I thought that it's a website issue, but the same happened on more than one page, including Google search.
I have tested those pages on other browsers, and everything works fine, so my conclusion is that it's an FF problem, but I don't know if it's my installation problem, or Update issue. Does anyone know anything about this issue?
Thanks

Does Firefox keep the history of visited websites if you check this in the sidebar (Ctrl+H) or in the Library (Show All History)?
Make sure Firefox isn't set to run in permanent Private Browsing mode (Always use Private Browsing mode; Never Remember History).
Check the History settings:
- Settings -> Privacy & Security
Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history" - remove checkmark: [ ] "Always use Private Browsing mode"
Does it still happen in Troubleshoot Mode? Some extensions disable history as a feature.

There was no issue with history, altrough there was ongoing issue with saving bookmarks.

Yes, it does.
All in all, the only way I saved this issue, and other issue where bookmarks weren't saved, was by simply doing clean reinstallation of the browsers.
It seems like over time Firefox is gaining the same issues which only get (temporarily) fixed by fresh installation.
If you use Sync, best is to disconnect Sync temporarily during troubleshooting.
This could be a problem with the places.sqlite and favicons.sqlite files in the Firefox profile folder.
- use the "Places Database" -> "Verify Integrity" button on the "Help -> More Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page
If errors are reported with "Verify Integrity", close and restart Firefox or reboot and retry.
If "Verify Integrity" cannot repair places.sqlite, rename/remove all places.sqlite and favicons.sqlite files in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed. Firefox will rebuild places.sqlite and restore the bookmarks from the most recent JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder.
- keep a backup copy of places.sqlite in case a new places.sqlite database has to be created
- you lose the history when a new places.sqlite is created
You may have to restore an older bookmarks backup in the bookmarkbackups folder via the Bookmarks Manager (Library).
