How do I remove an account from my profile
I've had 2 separate email accounts in the Profile Manager, 1 for me and 1 for my wife. However I somehow removed my wife's account by mistake so I set up the account again and it appears correctly in the profile manger. When it's opened it contains her email account only.
However, my profile now includes my wife's email account as well as my own. How can I remove my wife's account from my own profile ?

It's usually in Tools -> Accounts Settings -> Account Actions (bottom left corner of the window).
Thanks but I thought if I deleted the account from there it would delete the entire account?
When I click on my profile in the profile manager both mine & my wife's accounts are in the folders column. I only want my account showing and therefore need to remove my wife's account from my profile only - I don't want it deleted altogether.
Usually, when people need separate Profiles for different people they are created within that persons 'User Account' on the computer. So each person logs onto their own User Account in order to see their Desktop. It would seem that both you and your wife do not have separate User Accounts, you share one. Perhaps that is the reason you are using two Profiles in one User Account.
The 'Profile Manager' window will show the number of profiles you are using in your User Account. You say there are two. One is yours and one for you wife. Profile folders are stored in this location: C:\Users\<User Account name>\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles So if this 'Profiles' folder has the two different 'profile name' folders then each is a separate set of folders.
A Profile can contain several mail accounts (email addresses). Your Profile contains two mail accounts, yours and your wife. Your wife's Profile will contain her one mail account.
You can safely access your Profile and then delete your wife's mail account because she will be accessing a separate setup via her Profile.
Many thanks for that. That's the clearest description I've seen anywhere of how Profiles work. Thank you.
I've deleted it as you suggested and all's well now.
