why does firefox keep redirecting my websites? I put Google as my search engine, but I'm being redirected everytime I put a website in to bing or something like that, and then opens the website up again intstead of opening a new tab, it wont let Google do any thing, even when I type in the website it will still redirect me, I'm fighting to get firefox to give me the website I ask for. And when I request a website from the serach engine, it thens pop ups a permission to open it? Like really? It just won't do what I ask of it. Not only that I get these pop ups about buy this or that and I have to keep closing it out to get to where I want to get to. This is not what I signed up for,w hat is going on?

See:

  • Firefox > Options/Preferences > Advanced > General : Accessibility : [ ] "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page"

The setting in "Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.
