Hi jasmeet,

Have you checked to make sure that Firefox is still your default browser and that it is the default program to open those file types? I've also found a few articles that might help here and here.

Let me know if any of that information was useful. Hopefully it helps!

Try to rebuild the Windows icon cache.

  • Open the Task Manager (Shift+Ctrl+ESC)
  • In the Process tab, right-click on the Explorer.exe process and select End Process.
  • Open the file picker via "File > New Task (Run)" and click the Browse button.
  • Type or Paste %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local in the File name field (AppData is a hidden folder).
  • Select the file IconCache.db and use Delete in the right-click context menu to delete the file.
  • After the IconCache.db has been deleted, start a new explorer.exe process via "File > New Task" to get the desktop and Taskbar back.

Verify in Windows Explorer that you can see the IconCache.db file before doing the above mentioned steps because the file IconCache.db may be a hidden file.

Yes, Firefox is still my default browser. I have done all steps as per your instructions given in cor-el. But it makes effect for some time. I mean I am deleting IconCache.db file & it changes the html file icon for few minutes but than again it shows white paper icon.

It is my request is their another permanent solution? Why this problem is occurring? Is their any virus on my laptop? Please help me to sort this problem?
