Every time i log on, it says firefox says i'm unprotected, and must download new version, even though I have already downloaded it 3 times.

Help > About Firefox = what version does that window say you have installed?
Either you have both Firefox 5.0 and 3.5.19 installed or you useragent is stuck to the old version.
