I have 7 email accounts. Compacting only fails with one account. I can compress the sub folders of this email account. But compacting fails with top email account fails with the following message:

The folder email@gmx,de could not be compacted because writing to the folder failed. Verify that you have enough disk space, and that you have write privileges to the file system, then try again.

It is unlikely that compact is failing for the reasons stated in the error message.

But there is a bug report where the compact code fails on an EMPTY folder. It has a fix and will eventually ship.

I have three computers: two desktop computers and one laptop. Compacting fails on the two desktop computers and works on the laptop.

On the two desktop computer compacting of all subfolders works, but if I want to compact the account, this fails.

On all computer, there are 7 email accounts and one fails on the two desktops.
