spectrum webmail not loading
Trying to log in to spectrum > e-mail. Log-in to spectrum is fine. Link on that page loads the basic frame and links for the webmail page but the e-mail content does not load, where it should be is just white space, and the links in the frame do not work. This happens with chrome as well, on my desktop (win10) and on my laptop (Win7). I don't use the webmail often and so do not know when this might have started to be a problem - but it has not always been a problem.
The webmail page loads well with Edge.
Firefox is my main browser, don't use Chrome much. FF is up to date. Popup blocker for those pages is disabled.
What's going on?

If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block content (Adblock Plus, NoScript, DuckDuckGo PE, Disconnect, Ghostery, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block content.
- make sure your extensions and filters are updated to the latest version

Firefox shows a purple shield instead of a gray shield at the left end of the location/address bar in case Enhanced Tracking Protection is blocking content. You can click shield icon for more detail and possibly disable the protection. You can check the Web Console for messages about blocked content.

You can try these steps in case of issues with webpages:
You can reload webpage(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
- hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
- press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the Cache and remove the Cookies for websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).
"Remove the Cookies" for websites that cause problems:
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
Cookies and Site Data: "Manage Data"
"Clear the Cache":
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
Cookies and Site Data -> Clear Data -> Cached Web Content: Clear
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or userChrome.css is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Did you try in safe mode and what are you what are your cookie settings?
Safe mode was no help, same response. Cookie settings are not restrictive, except for 3rd party cookies.

Do you see anything here?
Only enhanced tracking protection on for this site.
As an after thought I switched to private browsing and the page loaded quickly and completely. Not sure what to make of that.
For me, switching to a Private Window has no add-ons because I have not allowed any of them to run in Private Window. What add-ons are there(not there)for you in Private Window?
I arrived at that question also. The add-ons are the same, just very basic ones. However, it is also true that I use private window very seldom, so it has no significant history in any of the stored data files. Although I had cleared them before - at least I thought I got everything, I went through the process of deleting stored data again in the standard FF browser. Now it works. I must have missed something. Anyway, the mystery is solved.
Lesson for me: focused attention to the task at hand (no multitasking unrelated stuff), and double check everything.
Thanks for the help.
