Bookmarks Organization, Lost folder...
I use the the bookmarks toolbar extensively, I have nested folders in the toolbar. Recently one of my folders disappeared, I blame my wife but it could have been me... I am hoping it got dragged to another folder but have not been able to find it yet. I used the "show all bookmarks" page and searched and found one of the links in the missing folder but I am unable to tell where the bookmark is stored in my hierarchical organization. Can anybody give me some pointers on finding my missing folder?
Thanks!

Thanks for all of the support! As recommended, I did turn off "sync" to prevent the problem from going to my laptop, Then on my laptop I manually looked in ALL of my bookmarks toolbar folders and found my missing folder, I restored it to the correct location and then on my desktop I turned on sync and all is good! I then backed up my bookmarks.
It would be nice if the "show all bookmarks" library tool had the ability to show where a specific bookmark is located in the bookmarks hierarchy.
Thank Again!

If you have sync, and there is a problem anywhere, Shut Down Sync Immediately On All Devices to prevent the problem from spreading. Once the problem is fixed, perform the same repair on all computers/profiles before using sync again.

Did you try to use the search bar in the Bookmarks Manager (Library) or sidebar to search for a bookmark in this lost folder (you can't search for a foler, but you can search for a bookmark) ?
You can also check the item count that is part of the filename of an automatically created bookmarks backup to see if the folder with these bookmarks is still there (item count hasn't changed) or that the lost bookmarks have been deleted.
The name of an automatically created JSON bookmarks backup in the bookmarkbackups folder includes a total item count (folders and separators included) and an hash value to prevent saving the same backup more than once. You also see this count in the Restore menu drop-down list.
- bookmarks-YYYY-MM-DD_<item count>_<hash>.jsonlz4
You can use these steps to locate a lost bookmark found via a search with build-in means.
- open the bookmark in a tab with a left-click or a middle-click, possibly in Offline mode (File -> Work Offline)
- click the blue star on the Navigation toolbar to open the "Edit This Bookmark" dialog
- click the far most arrow outside of the Folder field to open the full folder tree
- use the scroll bar or mouse scroll wheel to locate the highlighted selected folder, so do not click in the tree area
- click the Remove button to remove that bookmark
