Move account from Century Link to Spectrum
I used to have Century Link as my ISP. My e-mail address was ........... @embaqrqmail.com which was not linked to Century Link. I am now on Spectrum's Charter.net. They gave me an ........... @charter.net. I want to maintain my ........... @embarqmail.com address because many of my contacts have that address. I can not figure out how to set up charter.net account and Thunderbird. I am going through the articles but they do not seem to cover what to do when you have a different address than your ISP address. Help
edited email address a bit from search/spam bots view as this is a public forum.

Try these settings: incoming IMAP server mobile.charter.net on port 993, SSL/TLS security, authentication = normal password, User Name = email address; outgoing SMTP mobile.charter.net on port 587, SSL/TLS security, authentication = normal password, User Name = email address.

For the outgoing, select SSL/TLS in the security drop-down, then type in 587 for the port (it will first autoselect 465).
