Hello, when I last updated Firefox, it moved the Bookmark Toolbar that had been sitting along the top of the window down into a sidebar to the left. I now have to click twice to access bookmark. I click once on the square icon at the top to the right to access the menu bar and then click a second time onto the bookmark I want. Previously I would open Firefox and the Bookmark Toolbar would be along the top and I could access it immediately with only one click. How do I remove it as a side bar back to the along the top? Thanks in advance for your help.

That is correct what I said. Bookmarks Toolbar mouse to the top of Browser and Right Click in a empty place and Click Bookmarks Toolbar Then drag your Bookmarks from bookmarks to it or from the Address Bar. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/bookmarks-toolbar-display-favorite-websites This can also be turned on at the bottom of the page of Customize. As Pointed out with the other URL can go to Customize and drag the Bookmark tool you were using back with the rest of the options you can do if not wanting it. If want the Firefox Menu Bar back can do that also.

You can mouse to the top of the Browser and find a empty spot and Right Click then Click Menu Bar.

As for the Bookmark Button at the top you can leave it there or can go to Optimize and Drag it off the top and onto the storage page. https://www.howtogeek.com/333110/how-to-customize-firefox-quantum-and-remove-the-white-space-around-the-title-bar/

Thankyou for your considered reply, but unfortunately (I'm unsure) but I don't think it solves the problem . I am wondering if I am using the right terms to describe what I mean. I would like the individual personalised bookmarks to be across the top on the toolbar. This is how it used to be. I used to be able to open Firefox and click immediately on a personalised bookmark such as Facebook, Gmail, etc. I have added photo of what it might look like when I open Chrome - you see the individual personalised bookmarks across the top. Maybe you can't do this in Firefox anymore? If I have understood correctly in the tips you suggested I think it just allows me to add the overall general bookmark to the tool bar - it still leaves me having to click it open to access i.e. personalised bookmarks Facebook, Gmail and have to click through things twice. I'm hoping I'm making more sense?

Aaah thankyou Pkshadow! It was very very odd. I went through every step through that link you sent about three times,I was nearly pulling my hair out because it still wasn't working - and then, I'm not sure what I did, but it suddenly worked! Thanks heaps for all your help. Happy New Year for 2018.
