Instead of clicking on the Mozilla icon on my computer screen and getting the Mozilla page for typing query, I now get AVG Yahoo search and do not want to.

I have used Mozilla for a long time and always was able to access the query screen directly by clicking on the Mozilla Firefox icon on my menu screen. Now suddenly I get AVG Yahoo search instead. I can't seem to avoid Yahoo. I do not want Yahoo. Can't I directly access Mozilla Firefox anymore? How? or why not? Thanks for your help.

Separate Security Issue: Update your Flash Player Note: Windows users should download the ActiveX for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the ActiveX.

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open your Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control> (Mac=<Command>) <Shift> A)

In the Add-ons Manager, on the left, select Extensions. Remove “ AVG or Yahoo “ Anything.

Also look for SafeSearch, SearchAssist Incognito, FileConverter Addon, SearchLock, DiscreteSearch, WebSearch, Findwide Search Engine

Now do the same in the computer’s Programs Folder.

Windows: Start > Control Panel > Uninstall Programs. Mac: Open the Applications folder. Linux: Check your user manual.
