Hi,

After I cleared my entire history/cache/cookies in Firefox, it began to malfunction. No other changes to my computer have occurred recently (no software install/uninstalls/updates).

At first, I noticed Firefox wouldn't let me search via the address bar. Then I noticed it would hang up within one-two clicks within the program (including accessing troubleshooting options). Thus, I cannot troubleshoot the program from within it because after one-two clicks on anything, it instantly freezes up and crashes. No error messages occur.

I've tried reinstalling, to no avail. The same thing happens in safe-mode.

How can I fix this issue within having to go into Firefox itself as that is not an option, it simply freezes up after I make 1-2 clicks on anything.

Thanks!

I should also mention that I tried disabling all security settings just in case and this didn't help at all.

Did you submit any crash reports in case that might show what was wrong?

If you have submitted crash reports then please post the IDs of one or more recent crash reports that start with "bp-":

  • bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx

You can find the report ID of recent crash reports on the "Help > Troubleshooting Information" page (about:support).
