2. Do you have an example of where this will not work?

no error messages with facebook games, it just doesn't do anything

no issues with playing videos on facebook or you tube and some websites. i disabled extentions - no difference. all plug ins and firefox are up to date. i don't get asked for missing plug ins. cookies allowed, nothing on block list. allowing pop ups didn't help.

cache cleared regularly

ghostery and adblock can sometimes have false-positives (i.e. block things they shouldn't) the easiest fix is to white list facebook.com

Go to facebook.com Click the adblock icon then click "Disable on facebook.com"

Curtisa is on to something, when I updated Flash it also began to work.

i've completely disabled adblock and ghostery. it didn't help.

i uninstalled flash and re-installed the latest version when updating wouldn't do it. still no luck

i don't know whether this helps but have also noticed that some quizzes don't work, i guess same problem, different site.

i have updated flash after firefox blocked it as outdated (even though I reistalled it week before) and videos not work. quizzes and games don't though
