static.australianbrewing company keeps opening my browser
Almost daily when I boot my computer "static.australianbrewingcompany opens my browser saying that I need to install something or another. the installations vary. This happens on start up before I ever ask Firefox to open and is new since i re-installed my browser. This is not a site that I have ever visited on my own. How do I stop this from happening?

I recall a site with a similar or same name was reported recently (/questions/978458) as generating false reports. It seems likely that you have picked up adware or malware.
You will need to scan with multiple up to date tools and possibly get reputable (that can often be free) specialist advice. Try the following stock suggestions, and report back. If you find any other sites offering advice and fixes it is probably worth mentioning them here first so we can check the site and offer an opinion. It is all too easy to discover sites that are not reputable, charge, or are complete scams !
MALWARE
Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
- Microsoft Safety Scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- TDSSKiller - AntiRootkit Utility
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
- * AdwCleaner: (for adware)
- Kaspersky Free security scan
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.
Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

You listed troubleshooting info and no obvious problem toolbars etc. show up. It is possibly worth checking your Firefox short cut that is used to start Firefox has an address been appended to that ?
As your problem apparently starts on booting it is probably something a lot deeper than that, but hopefully one of the scans will discover the problem.

I used the Malware Bytes and did a deep scan of all drives resulting in discovery and kill of multiple infections. This has resolved the issue. Thank you VERY much!!!
Glad to have helped and good to know it is fixed. Thanks for posting back. These answers often help others with similar problems.
